I am currently collecting stories and photography from people who have lived or know others who have lived in Country Club Homes, a historic apartment complex in the Hayes Barton neighborhood in Raleigh. This complex, where I live is doomed for demolition, as it was purchased by Grubb Ventures in August of 2006. I am writing a documentary book on its history and the seventy-plus years of comfort it has provided for its tenants with hopes of redefining the complex’s demise. This project is on the lookout for stories, photos and memories from Country Club Homes as well as media coverage.
