I am an intuitive creator, change agent and problem solver. I dedicate my efforts to initiate and lead change projects by creating, designing, directing and building support to carefully enroll others to be a part of a change team. I have the vision and conviction to state the facts, and the integrity to stand up for and follow through with what I believe is for the greater good. I intend on enriching and enabling others to be more proactive and thus realizing their own inherent potential.
I wish to make my projects public in order to hold myself accountable to follow through with their completion, as well as keep my ideas transparent so that others are drawn towards my projects, manifesting solutions and fostering further connections.
Past Projects:
Through unusual circumstances, I moved to Dubai, located in the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East in 2004 for almost one year. My experience was a journey and transformed my path, direction and passion. Upon my return, I built a photographic educational documentary on my experience in the Middle East in order to educate and bridge the gaps between culture and people. It became the foundation to my teaching cultural tolerance classes for local schools and for public lectures throughout North Carolina.
"Dubai - Another Side to the Middle East"
Arts Healing and Creative Expression integrates creative tools to assist through grieving, creative expression and exploration. The story of ones healing is as important as healing itself. In this story Melissa Joplin, breast cancer survivor, worked with me, as we used photography as a mode of expression and comfort during her healing journey. The spiritual sides as well as the physical and mental side were nourished during a series of photo sessions.
I have also held several fund raisers using the sale of my artwork to raise money and awareness on various social issues pertaining to cancer and the Iraq war.
Active Projects:
I am assistant author and editor to “Making Memories in the Kitchen with Grandma”, a children’s cookbook written by Marta Brewer, owner and founder of Raleigh’s only Spanish tapas restaurant, ‘Tasca Brava’.
We are currently looking for a publisher for her book and NPR media coverage.

I am an active member of Ideaspark at SparkCon where we recently created, as a team, ‘Raleigh 360’ a virtual, visual and physical network that creates a culture of localism in the Triangle area.
This project is looking for city council support.
I am currently spearheading a project at Meredith College where I am a student, titled ‘EnviroSpark’, an event that will ignite creative energy and inherent talent in both students and faculty in order to bring awareness and action to solve and adapt to the rapidly changing environment.
This project is seeking administration support and media attention.
I am currently collecting stories and photography from people who have lived or know others who have lived in Country Club Homes, a historic apartment complex in the Hayes Barton neighborhood in Raleigh. This complex, where I live is doomed for demolition. I am writing a documentary book on its history and the seventy years of comfort it has provided for its tenants with hopes of redefining the complex’s demise.
This project is on the lookout for stories, photos and memories from Country Club Homes as well as media coverage.

About the image:The image is of a fractal. A fractal is a mathematical geometric pattern that repeats itself on every scale which involves a property called self-similarity; a reduced-sized copy of its whole. A geometric shape is repeated at smaller and smaller scales to form irregular shapes and surfaces thus the resulting geometric pattern takes on an otherworldly fluid shape that does not resemble its original form.
